UNM Continuing Education is proud to announce a conference designed to give attendees what they asked for. From Start to Sales VI will start with a keynoter who is a prolific author and speaker. We'll do a brief Q & A of the three book editors as well as a top paying magazine editor, plus three agents who have not come before. They will let you know what's selling in the publishing industry, and what they are buying. A poll of 100 writers revealed that writers wanted either editors or agents interested in the following fiction genres: General fiction; Mysteries; Children's Chapter and Y.A. books; Historic; all kinds of Women's Fiction; Paranormal; Christian Romances and Mysteries, as well as Short Story collections. Nonfiction book categories include Contemporary Culture; How To books; Biographies and Memoirs; and Nature and Environment. All of the instructors who give workshops are new to the conference as well. All attendees will have a one-on-one meeting with the editor or agent.
