« back to classes page
Drowning in scraps of fabrics? Are your closets, under every bed, in every suitcase and the trunks of your cars overflowing with fabric? Answer YES to any of these - this class is for you! In this class you will learn how to cut your scraps into usable sizes, arrange them in pleasing colorways, store them in less space and most importantly learn how to use that ugly fabric you just had to have. Skills needed for this class: Use a rotary cutter and ruler with accuracy, sew an accurate 1/4" seam, press not iron, and, read and understand quilting vocabulary. The quilt measures 84" x 102" using as many lights and darks as possible. Thirteen different blocks are taught in sizes 6", 8" and 10". This pattern includes a simple border, and I will demonstrate various finishing techniques. Sample and Supply Sheets are at the Quilt Works. You can e-mail me at CarolBell99@msn.com with any questions; put "Quilting 102" in the subject line. Required pattern: Scrappy Sampler available through the instructor.
