Birds of New Mexico

Learn to recognize and identify New Mexico birds. Supported with color slides, lectures will concentrate on bird species and their identification and distribution. Seasonal changes in distribution will also be covered. Three half-day Saturday field trips to areas for practice in identification of birds will be scheduled during the semester. Binoculars are highly recommended. Optional Text: Field Guide to the Birds of North America, National Geographic Society, 6th Edition.
