At the beginning of the war, FDR created the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) for the purpose of conducting covert operations against enemies of the United States. Over a third of the 13,000 members of the OSS were women. From information gatherers to spies operating behind enemy lines, this session tells the story of the women who served in the OSS, the precursor of today's CIA.
