Like the famous artist, Hokusai’s “36 Views of Mount Fuji” we will be inspired by the many views and moods of our own Sandia Mountains. We will experience painting the Sandias from a variety of beautiful outdoor locations. Each week will meet in a different place. This class will focus on a variety of techniques with watercolor paints and pencils and pen & ink. You will learn about atmospheric perspective, color washes, layering, color mixing and more. Three weeks will meet in the mornings and the last two weeks in the evening. First class meets at: The Elena Gallegos Open Space, 7100 Tramway Blvd. NE
