The ITIL Practitioner course goes beyond the what and why, taught in the ITIL Foundation class, by providing practitioners a methodical way of how to use ITIL guidance to improve existing (or introduce new) services and processes. Throughout this 2-day (16-hour) case study based course, participants learn how to apply nine guiding principles to the planning and implementation of service improvements. Participants also gain a practical understanding of three critical competencies which contribute to successful improvement initiatives. Candidates who pass the 135-minute open book exam consisting of 40 scenario-based, multiple-choice questions receive the ITIL Practitioner Certification (3 credits toward ITIL Expert). Prerequisites: The ITILV3 Foundation Certification is a prerequisite to taking this course. Reading the bookITIL Practitioner Guidance prior to the course is strongly recommended. This book will be provided to registered students in advance and may be picked up at the UNMCE offices.
