ID : 83276
« back to classes page
Given the latest controversy over the filming of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, this is a good time to explore the more intimate writings of Mark Twain and his view of the peoples of our country, our varied, diverse values, and our ability to connect while honoring that diversity. The Mark Twain Papers have been compiled at the University of California, Berkeley, and now well sorted by scholars, published in three massive volumes ( totaling over 2100 pages, also available online!) The Mark Twain Project Online is available from the University of California Libraries. We can explore this website in class, reading and viewing archived fragments, commentary, letters, and thoughts by perhaps the world’s most prolific writer and humorist: an American icon available at our fingertips!
