History and Practice of Musical Improvisation 101

This class addresses the often misunderstood concept of improvisation. You don't have to be an expert to improvise. In addition to a didactic portion detailing the concepts, history, and evolution of musical improvisation, students will take part in interactive portions revolving around live musical performances. Students are welcome to bring instruments or simply use their hands, feet, and voices to participate.
