« back to classes page
The Bill of Rights seems to be more cited and debated these days than at any time in American history. Currently, they appear to be under siege through the use of Presidential Executive Order. Why were these first ten Amendments added to the Constitution? Why are they considered to be among the most important sections of the Constitution to this day? What are these Amendments actually intended to provide and protect? To answer these and other questions, we will approach the Bill of Rights historically, including key Supreme Court cases that have defined or defied these Rights, to understand their meaning and intent.
