« back to classes page
Did you ever wonder about the origin of the commonly consumed “ready-to-eat” breakfast cereals?  Where did they originate?  Why did they originate there?  How did the cereal industry begin to market their products by including premium toys inside the box? How are these products marketed to the children of all nations?  The talk includes a review of the great toys (now collectibles) found in cereal boxes and the children’s TV programs used to promote them. These subject and more will be presented by a speaker who was born and reared in Battle Creek, Michigan, commonly known as the “Cereal City”, and grew up with the daily smells of cooking cereal grains in the air!
