The Black Death of the Middle Ages, which killed 30% of the population of Europe, still shapes the history of modern day Europe. In Part II, we learn more about the plague and its effects on families, culture, and religious expression. We continue the connection between the Plague and the effects it had on the people of the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of Europe. We also examine how these effects still persist on the descendants that came to the New World 300 years later.
