Understanding Project Management

Build on your project management experience. Learn to define and discuss the five process groups of project management: initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing as discussed in PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge. You’ll also study how to: evaluate projects for success; “systemize” your project management approach; analyze conflict management, team building, and project manager roles and responsibilities; and integrate learned information into problem-solving sessions. Recommended Prerequisite: Applying Project Management for Effective Teams or previous project management experience. Textbook Provided: A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide), 6th ed., Project Management Institute.
