This course provides a fundamental understanding of research studies in evidence-based treatments or protocols for medical, behavioral health or substance-related and addictive disorders. Participants will learn how to locate research studies using the PubMed database. Specific search strategies for finding the most relevant research papers will be demonstrated. Participants will also learn how to determine the quality of a study. An overview of data presentation and the basic types of data analyses used in research studies will be presented so that those without a statistics background will have a general understanding of the research results.
NOTE: All sessions will be remote from your computer. You will be sent the log in information after your enrollment. Use of a headset and microphone is recommended. A web camera is preferred but optional.
