This course presents an overview of evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral therapies, including coping skills training, behavioral contracting, contingency management, behavioral self-control training, and relapse prevention skill training. Practical exercises focus on case formulation, treatment planning, and implementation, including consideration of cultural factors in addiction treatment. A specific case example is followed from initial screening through long-term outcome.
