« back to classes page
This class we will  be drawing and painting the Sandia Mountains from a variety of beautiful outdoor locations. Each week we will meet in a different place. This class will focus on a variety of techniques with watercolor paints, watercolor pencils and pen & ink. You will learn about atmospheric perspective, color washes, layering, color mixing and more. The last two weeks we will paint the magic light, mood and mystery of sunsets and twilight time, challenging students to “see” and paint the colors and values of low light.
3 weeks we will meet in the mornings and the last 2 weeks in the evening.

First class meets at: The Elena Gallegos Open Space, 7100 Tramway Blvd. NE
