Telling Stories to Children

« back to classes page
Our most intimate moments with young ones is a time where we delve into the world of fantasy and imagination.  Yes, even your non-fictitious stories call for their imagining ... imagining you to be once-upon-a-time young just like them.  Grandchildren often live far away and visits are few.  Competing with the internet and fancy smartphones have made face-to-face communications even more challenging.  Participants will explore the challenges and select stories significant to the children in their lives.  We'll get to test drive our stories with one another using storyboards, recordings, love notes and journaling among other creative solutions.  On day three participants are welcome to invite family members to a momentous creative story session. We'll close with resources and tools for further intimate storytelling moments with children for the holiday season.
