Milestones in the History of Science and Religion

The purpose of the course is to help you better understand science and religion and to help you develop the tools you need to express your thinking on these subjects with confidence. This will help clarify the roles of both science and religion throughout history and consequently in today’s society. The course includes key definitions and the importance of language and understanding the methods of religion and science. Sessions include an array of historical milestones in human progress. Video clips and Power Point graphics are used throughout, along with a few demonstrations. Discussion about the significance of these milestones will be encouraged. Each student is directed toward research in their areas of interest, but there are no exams or assignments.
